SPAIN, 1981

Through black and white drawings, Cristina Ramírez creates scenes in which she explores the representation of terror and horror with a bidimensional language. Car crashes and smoky tentacles introduce the spectator to impossible landscapes where the symbolic power of color and formal treatment connect conceptually with cinematographic references like Cronenberg’s cinema.
She has exhibited individually at the Palace of the Counts of Gabia, Granada (2016) and at Espacio Iniciarte, Córdoba (2017). She has also participated in collective exhibitions at Carmen Thyssen Museum, Malaga (2015), Conde Duque Center, Madrid (2017), La Gran, Madrid (2016 and 2020).
