ITALY, 1969

Between 2005 and 2008 Domenico Borrelli created a series of works of great intensity, bronze and resin sculptures, large oil drawings, canvases, videos, performances, whose subject deals with mythology and in particular with the three characters connected to the myth of the Labyrinth: Minotaur, Theseus, Ariadne.
The artist essentially had two aims: to investigate the body and its centrality in contemporary culture and, at the same time, the economic and social dimension where the bodies are, all bodies.
At Drawing Room Lisboa we present a selection of three large scale drawings and other two smaller.
