Jorge Leal exhibits regularly since 2005. From 2012 onward, his work is focused on practical and theoretical research on drawing, where he seeks to interrogate the descriptive function of line, as well as the integration of writing in drawing. His themes range from landscape and ruins, animals and human bodies, coffee shop customers and everyday life, cynicism and humor. The use of sketchbooks is central to his artistic practice, from where most of his studio work starts, a fact proven by the more than 200 gathered in his studio that are regularly integrated in exhibitions.
