« Aging Sofa is a large drawing in which I am confronted with the question of scale and the execution of the pieces that will form the whole. I use the fragmentation of the image into squares that, in the end, I put together to obtain the final drawing. This technique allows me to work in places with little space and to be able to transport a large drawing in a small package. Aging Sofa reflects the passage of time, the marks that time and wear-and-tear leave on people and things, that make us unique. I look at the drawing of this sofa as a self-portrait; there I am my time, my marks, my struggles and my pleasures with the unctuousness of graphite ».
