Julia Masvernat elaborates images, objects and installations, based on absorbing her urban environment and its tensions: the mutant natural-artificial space of the city. In her studio she stubbornly tests the strengths and limits of each material (paper, paint, wood, light). The results are objects, drawings, collages or paintings, which remain in constant vibration between representation and abstraction. She calls them: not paintings, deformed geometries, involuntary drawings, fleeting forms.
