The idea of movement in expansion, rest or intuition is one of Mar Solís’ recent keys after two years through which far from relaxing, she has not stopped exploring expressive paths and consolidating her genuine imprint. Her drawings “Tejido. Espacio. Tiempo” analyze that weightless space where nothing is what it seems; they float on the edge of a threshold which, like black holes, traps us and keeps us awaiting, accomplices of a more or less possible tomorrow.
In her consolidated career, Mar Solís has held thirty-five solo exhibitions in public and private venues and has participated in innumerable group exhibitions. Her latest projects in Madrid include Principio de Incertidumbre, Real Jardín Botánico, Madrid, 2021; Fúrico: materia-antimateria, Centro de Arte Alcobendas, Madrid, 2020; or Introspección y Fuga, Puxagallery, Madrid, 2019. Mar Solís’ works are included in public and private museums such as the IVAM, Valencia Institute of Modern Art, Valencia; the BBVA, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria; the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation, Madrid; or the City of Madrid, among others.
