SWITZERLANDS, 1973

Working with a variety of media (found objects, drawing, installation, and painting), Middelmann explores a remembering process and, in the meantime, its subjectivity.
« I am interested in how we assemble and disassemble our memories, depending on who we are talking to and the context in which we are remembering. Remembering is a narrative process made up by our imagination and which is constructed and deconstructed in order to make sense of who we are ».
Her interest in the ambiguity of perception has led her to actively collaborate and design research projects with neuroscientists.
