« My reflections on sculpture as a favourite means of witnessing the contradictory times and the socio-political drifts we live in, led me to look for a highly suggestive, dramatic, disconcerting and even frightening and surprising plastic figures in tradition and creativity, without shame. Here, I apply the same framework to the drawings.
Despite the drama, despite the surrealism, despite the reverie – sometimes perceived as macabre, sometimes sensual and erotic, sometimes frightening, or even wild and brutal, there is an all-pervasive aura of poetic lightness. The radicalism of the images of improbabilities does not require any external legitimacy: its ineluctable reality is perfectly capable of legitimizing ».
