Portuguese artist Pedro Boese lives and works in Berlin.
He graduated in painting and engraving at the Fine Arts Maastricht Academy in the Netherlands and continued his studies with a postgraduate degree at the Institute for Art in Context at the Berlin University of Fine Arts. He held the position of “intaglio”(metal) engraving teacher at the Kunsthochschule Weissensee School in Berlin from 2018 to 2019, where he began his teaching career.
To highlight some recent solo exhibitions: 2020 in Lisbon “in a row I+II”, Galeria Belo-Galsterer, 2018 in Berlin, “Privatformat II” at Novokolorit and 2015 “Malerei und Fassade” at Deutscher Künstlerbund (with Silke Riechert).
He participated in group exhibitions in Portugal and Germany, such as the “Área de Diálogo” at the Galeria Municipal Banco de Portugal in Leiria in 2019, or “Der Engeltrick in der Abstraktion in Glue” at the Kunstraum Kreuzberg space in Berlin in 2016.
