Timo Herbst projects explore the choreography and consequences that bodily movements have for society as well as for the private person. This interest for body, time, space and motion leads to multimedia installations which use drawing, video and performance. He received his diploma at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, Germany, in 2013. Among more, he was fellow of: Goethe Institut Villa Kamogawa, Kyoto; Yarat Contemporary Art Center Baku, Azerbaijan; Arts Council of the Federal State of Saxony and Volkswagen Foundation. In 2021/22 he will be resident at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris.
